Project Description
Based on the benefits of renewable-energy solutions, CDC has proposed a 100 MW ground-mounted solar PV project. The project is aligned with the Strategic Integrated Project 20c: Embedded Generation National Programme. An estimated 80 MW of solar PV energy will be built in the Coega SEZ and 20 MW solar PV in the Nelson Mandela Bay Logistics Park.

Planned Start/End Date
The Industrial Development Corporation released the request for proposal (RFP) on November 5, 2025. The RFP closed on November 25, 2025. The appointed service provider will be required to start immediately following the award of the project and complete the assignment within 18 months.
